A great game to be watch in ESPN HD, Astro Malaysia between Manchester City and Stoke City.

A few savings by the Stoke City goalkeeper in the beginning of the game by tremendous shots. Almost goal just now by Manchester City

Manchester City are having attacking mode in first half beginning, while Stoke City got their first yellow card. There are a lot of oppurtunity to score a goal but most of the shot when high above.

Second half comings, stress coming on to the two teams. Shots, tackle comings on, but then, no goals yet until 60th minutes from both team, Manchester City and Stoke City

A counter attack just been made by Stock City team, yet no goals been made.About 88,643 audience comes to watch the match at the Wembley Stadium.

Manchester City are sponsored by Etihad Airways while Stoke City are sponsored by Britannia.

ARSENAL have become the first Champions League side to have NO shots at goal during a game.
That fact has emerged for Arsene Wenger's side following their 3-1 defeat at Barcelona on Tuesday.

Stats gurus Opta have kept detailed records for eight years and the Gunners have recorded a miserable new low.

An Opta spokesman said: "There have been 981 Champions League games since 2003-04 and Arsenal are the first of 1,962 sides not to manage a shot of any form in a match since then."

It is an amazing statistic which confirms Arsenal's lack of ambition - before and after having Robin van Persie sent off for time-wasting in the second half.

Wenger tried to blame Swiss ref Massimo Busacca for the defeat after Van Persie's controversial 55th-minute red card.

But Barca's ex-Liverpool star Javier Mascherano told Wenger to stop being 'stupid' - and to give Barca the praise they deserve for their display.

Mascherano said: "It was very strange to me that it was 1-1 at one stage even though they didn't have a shot.

"Wenger knows how the game went but defeat is tough and nobody wants to be out of the competition.

"Our team has not achieved as much as it has thanks to the refs, we can't be hypocrites or stupid. Barca win because they play well not because of the refs.

"Wenger has every right to his opinion but the stats say that it would have been very unfair if we hadn't qualified."

Arsenal's only effort on target came from a Barca player Sergio Busquets, whose own goal just after half-time gave the visitors hope.

Mikel Arteta could be facing several weeks on the sidelines after becoming the latest player to join Everton's casualty list in last night's 1-1 draw with Birmingham.

Arteta had to be substituted within the first 10 minutes of the Barclays Premier League match at Goodison Park having sustained an apparent hamstring problem while in a chase with Sebastian Larsson.

The Spanish midfielder has been in impressive form of late and was named captain for the game in the absence of another hamstring victim Phil Neville, but soon had to pass the armband over to Phil Jagielka.

When asked about Arteta, Toffees boss David Moyes - who also has Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill in the treatment room - told www.evertonfc.com: "It looks like a hamstring injury.

"It's too early to say - I'm not sure but I'm guessing he will be out for a few weeks."

Birmingham took a 17th-minute lead through Jean Beausejour's header but John Heitinga rifled in an equaliser from outside the box 10 minutes before the interval and Everton looked by far the more likely side to find a winner in the second half.

Drogba dropped, Torres starts for Chelsea in Copenhagen

For the second time in eight days, Drogba made way for the misfiring Torres, who had been ineligible for Saturday's shock FA Cup fourth-round replay defeat to Everton.

FC Copenhagen went for the jugular in what was their first competitive match since their final Champions League group game against Panathinaikos two and a half months ago, pairing the prolific Dame N'Doye and Cesar Santin in attack.

Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart suffers hamstring setback and will miss Blackpool trip

Rafael van der Vaart has suffered a setback with his calf injury and will miss Tottenham’s trip to Blackpool on Tuesday night.

The Dutch midfielder returned after a short absence to help Tottenham win 1-0 at San Siro against AC Milan last week.

However, he failed to finish the game and suffered a recurrence of the injury in training yesterday.

"Rafa did his calf again yesterday in training so he’s struggling," said Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.

"Rafa missed a couple of games, played in Milan, got through 70 minutes and then yesterday morning didn’t feel good.

"It’s a blow; he a fantastic player and we need him, but we can’t get that run out of him.

Manchester United to face Arsenal or Orient in FA Cup quarter final

The apparent recent mellowing of the sometimes vexed relationship between Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger could well be tested in a potentially intriguing heavyweight FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

It all hinges on the outcome of Arsenal's ongoing fifth-round tie with Leyton Orient, with the winner drawn to face United.

Stoke City will be optimistic about reaching the semi-finals after being handed a home quarter-final against either West Ham or Burnley, who play their fifth-round tie at Upton Park on Monday night.

Clarke Carlisle suggests Tony Pulis's players should not be planning too far ahead however. Looking forward to meeting West Ham, the Burnley defender issued a reminder that his Championship side are resurgent under the new management of Eddie Howe.

"We are in good form at the moment, the squad is feeling confident," said Carlisle. "We have enough to cause any team in the land a problem. We're in with a fantastic shout."

Birmingham, already in the Carling Cup final, will host the winners of the currently ongoing fifth-round tie between Fulham and Bolton.

Roberto Mancini's trophy hungry Manchester City must overcome Aston Villa in the fifth round before meeting either Everton or Reading in what promises to be a fascinating quarter-final.

Sixth-round ties are scheduled to be played on the weekend of 12-13 March.

2011 Daytona 500 start time: When, where to watch -- It's not spring yet, but the Daytona 500 race in Florida can get those in the winter climates thinking it's coming closer. The annual Daytona 500 race will be run on Sunday -- when and where can race fans tune in, and when is the actual race start time?

Daytona 500 coverage will begin on FOX at 1 p.m. ET. The actual race start time, however, is 1:30 p.m. when the green flag is waved.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Dale Earnhardt's fatal accident on Lap #3 of Daytona in 2001. Memorials have been recognized throughout the weekend in remembrance.

The race lasts all afternoon, so if you miss the start, there is plenty of time to tune in and watch the finish.

This year marks the 53rd running of the Daytona 500.

Real win to cut Barca lead

Real Madrid provisionally cut Barcelona's lead at the top of La Liga table to two points tonight after comfortably seeing off Levante at a rain-drenched Bernabeu. First-half goals from Karim Benzema and Ricardo Carvalho decided the game as Jose Mourinho's men kept the pressure up on pacesetters Barca, who host Athletic Bilbao tomorrow.

The victory was Madrid's 22nd successive home win in all competitions and marked nine years since Mourinho last suffered a home defeat in the league, which came on 23 February, 2002, when his Porto team lost to Beira Mar.

Levante came into the match as the most in-form team in the division with three successive victories behind them, but having been thumped 8-0 on their last visit to the Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey just before Christmas. And the Valencia-based side must have feared a repeat of that mauling as they found themselves behind with just six minutes on the clock tonight.

Angel Di Maria was the architect of the goal with a brilliant run that saw him beat three players on the edge of the box before sliding a low cross in for Benzema to slot into the gaping net. That was Benzema's third league goal of the season and justified Mourinho's decision to start with the Frenchman ahead of the European trip to his former club Lyon.

Benzema, who scored a hat-trick in that 8-0 win, was selected up front ahead of Emmanuel Adebayor, who had started the last two matches and also scored on his previous two appearances at the Bernabeu following his loan move from Manchester City.

Benzema's strike looked set to open the floodgates as Madrid set up camp in the Levante half, but chances came and went with Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo firing wide and Levante goalkeeper Gustavo Munua doing superbly to deny Di Maria and Benzema.

Carvalho seals victory
It was beginning to look as though Madrid would have to settle for just their one-goal advantage at the break, but Carvalho popped up in the 42nd minute to double their lead. Ronaldo drilled in a free-kick from near the goalline and the unmarked Carvalho turned the ball in from just a yard out, a strike that saw the centre-back join Benzema on three league goals for the season.

The second half saw Madrid push for further goals, but Munua managed to ensure the home side did not record a similar scoreline to that cup encounter. He denied Sami Khedira before producing excellent saves in quick succession to tip over efforts from Ronaldo and Benzema.

Ronaldo, looking to add to his 24 league goals this season, then brought two more good stops out of Munua as Madrid continued to create openings. Madrid substitute Mesut Ozil then almost scored a wonder goal in injury-time following a mazy dribble, but Munua saved that as well as the home side had to settle for just the two first-half goals.

Atletico scrape vital win
Elsewhere tonight, cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid ended a run of four consecutive defeats with a 1-0 win at Real Zaragoza to move within four points of the top six. Argentine international forward Sergio "Kun" Aguero scored the winning goal on 65 minutes to relieve the mounting pressure on coach Quique Sanchez Flores.

Zaragoza, who hit the woodwork twice in the closing minutes, hover one point above the bottom three after their 11th defeat of the season.

Wales-England Euro 2012 clash a sell-out

WALES’ Euro 2012 fixture with England at the Millennium Stadium on March 26 is an official sell-out.

Over 70,000 tickets have been sold for the Group G clash which will be Gary Speed’s first home game as the new Wales manager.

A Football Association of Wales spokesman said last night: “Obviously the FAW are delighted at the response and it justifies the decision to stage the game at the Millennium Stadium.

“This way almost everybody that wants to support the Welsh football team and Gary Speed in his first home game can now do so at such a great arena.

“England have taken the standard 10% of away tickets and we’re over the 70,000 mark.”

Wales’ qualification hopes are already over after defeats in Montenegro (1-0) and Switzerland (4-1) and a home loss to Bulgaria (1-0).

England, meanwhile, have ground to make up on Group G leaders Montenegro after being held to a goalless draw by them at Wembley last October in their last Euro game.

Speed will be hoping to call on his star Wales men Craig Bellamy, Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey for the clash against England after the trio missed his first game in charge, the 3-0 Carling Nations Cup defeat to the Republic of Ireland in Dublin last week.

But it looks as if Speed has already lost Bolton defender Sam Ricketts after the former Swansea man he suffered a serious Achilles injury in the FA Cup defeat to Wigan.

Ricketts is likely to be out of action for several weeks with Bolton boss Owen Coyle admitting: “The medical team think it could be quite severe but we hope that is not the scenario.”

Brazil's Ronaldo poised to quit

(Reuters) - Former Brazil striker Ronaldo will announce his retirement from soccer Monday, he told a Brazilian newspaper Sunday.

The 34-year-old three-times world player of the year has a contract with Corinthians until the end of 2011 but is bringing his retirement forward after the team's shock early elimination from the Libertadores Cup and violent protests from fans.

Ronaldo told the Estado de Sao Paulo newspaper's website (www.estadao.com.br) his regular injury problems were one of his main reasons for quitting now.

"I can't take it any more," Ronaldo said. "I wanted to carry on, but I can't. I plan a move (in a game) but I cannot execute as I wish. The time is up. But it was nice, dammit."

Ronaldo, who will make his announcement in a news conference at the Corinthians training ground Monday, is ending a brilliant career in which he scored more than 400 goals including a record 15 at World Cups.

The striker, an unused squad member when Brazil won the World Cup in 1994 and their top scorer when they won their record fifth title in 2002, is expected to remain at the club in an administrative role.

Ronaldo, who left Brazil's Cruzeiro for PSV Eindhoven at the age of 18 and played for both Milan clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid, helped Corinthians win the Copa Brasil and Paulista (Sao Paulo) state championship last year.

But Corinthians disappointed in the two big competitions of 2010, their centenary year, failing to get past the round of 16 of the Libertadores cup or win the Brazilian championship.

Ronaldo missed many matches through injury and fans began to show their irritation.

This came to a head after Corinthians lost 2-0 away to Deportes Tolima of Colombia 10 days ago in the second leg of their Libertadores Cup preliminary round tie having drawn 0-0 at home. They were eliminated from the competition.
